  • Guess What?

Everyone, there's gonna be a new driver on the street. Starting July 21, I am going to start taking Drivers Ed (finally). So, I just thought I'd warn you ahead of time. But don't worry, I'll be a careful driver. They called today and said that the class was full, but they could squeeze me in. By the way, it's going to be at Riverside High School. So, I'm looking forward to that. There is one thing. I do not have a valid car to drive. So, if you would like to donate a car, let me know. But I'll let you know in the future how it turns out. When my grandma bought this Cadillac my parent's told me insurance went up on it....well.....I got the other to save some money, not working out for me....

  • This week...Busy

Yea, I have been busy this week. We got out of school on Friday the 13th. We could'nt have picked a better day huh? Anyway. This weekend, I have been helping out at a local church for their Vacation Bible School. Our friend, Dylan and us along with other people chipped in and got the job done! Right now, I am one of 2 leaders in charge of the 3rd Graders. So, we have been busy, busy, and you've guessed it, BUSY. Oh, I almost forgot about Fathers' day. We went to my grandparents' and had lunch and it was DELICIOUS! What did we have you may ask? We had BBQ and other stuff. And Saturday, we went to a Graduation Party and played a few songs.

  • What I've been up too

Well, the Bethesda Ruritan Club had it's bluegrass festival on Sat. May 17 had it's bluegrass festival and everything turned out perfect! It was a beautiful day and it was a great success. We had the GrooveWood Bluegrass Band, The Boys From Carolina, The Cadillac Stepbacks, and The Wells Family. It was a lot of fun. Now skipping ahead. Recently, for the past week, we've been busy with the house because, I got new carpet, and we took everything out of my room, and we painted my brothers' room, and put new carpet in there, and my other brother got my old carpet. Everything was topsy-turvy. But everything is back to normal now. Last Monday (June 2) I called in 94.7 QDR and played a game called Paisley Pop to try and win tickets to see Brad Paisley at the Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion at Walnut Creek. Well, they played a song and I called in, and  they picked up the phone, said: "Hello QDR who's this"? I said my name and they said what was the song, and I said it, and I WON! So, I won 2 tickets for the Saturday July 19 show. Special guests include Dancing with the Stars' Julianne Hough, Jewel, and Chuck Wicks. Well, later.

  • Another Country Music Loss

Country music fans, we have lost another Country Music Hall of Famer. Mr. Eddy Arnold. He passed away ths morning at 5 a.m. in Nashville. He died just 1 week short of his 90th birthday. He lost his wife back in March. His hits included "Cattle Call", "What's He Doing in My World?", and "Make the World Go Away". eddyarnold

  • Where did I go?

I cannot believe I have'nt been on here for alost a whole month! What have I missed?  And the titled question. Where did I go? I have been busy with music and school. Let me tell you what I have done. On Wednesday April 16th, we went to Fishersville, Va. to get me a new bass. I picked out a 1988 Englehardt. On Friday April 18th, we went to the Roanoke Rapids Theatre to see the Oak Ridge Boys. We picked with tenor singer of the group, Joe Bonsall for an hour and a half backstage in his dressing room. We recorded it on tape and we played gospel and bluegrass. We had a blast! We also met another member of the group, William Lee Golden. Then the next day, was my parents anniversary, and we celebrated by playing at a Pig Pickin'. Th next day, we practiced with the Groovers and that night, we went out to eat for my grandfathers' birthday. Last week, we went down to Myrtle Beach from Thursday - Saturday for a Bible study with the youth at our church. Oh, get this. When we we first arrived to the trailer, we headed straight for the beach and we walked for about 30 minutes. So that's about it. Here is the picture of us with Joe Bonsall and William Lee Golden.100_4481 100_4485

I'm sure you all have a dream. My dream is that one day, our band, the Bethesda Bluegrass Boys can perform on the Grand Ole Opry stage. That would be such an honor.
